Eight young artists from Sosolya Undugu Dance Academy was touring Denmark in the fall of 2019, offering workshops in dance, drama and music. Through a performance about Uganda’s famous chimpanzee “Zakayo” they seek to raise awarness on climate issues and our relationship with nature.
Sosolya Undugu Dance Academy was founded in 1993 by a group of young energetic artists who wanted to give young people the opportunity to improve their artistic skills, as well as provide street children with schooling and leisure activities.
Today, the professional artists teach more than 300 children and youngsters between the age of 5 and 25 in traditional African music, dance and drama.
